I rarely listen to the radio just for music nowadays. My kids like to listen to the Top 40 station. Although it plays a song or two I like, I unfortunately have to sit through Jesse McCartney and Fifty Cent to hear it.

I had to stop listening to the classic rock station years ago because the same 4 Lynyrd Skynyrd songs and the same 3 Boston songs and the same 4 Allman Brothers songs started to get on my nerves.

There is a station that plays harder stuff, but I only listen to that on occasion because I can't tell one band from another most of the time.

<font size="2" face="Comic sans ms, Helvetica, sans-serif">Lynyrd Skynyrd made four songs? I thought they only made those two. That one about not needing Neil Young around, and that other long one about being a bird.

Tuesday's Gone, and The Ballad of Curtis Lowe are two of my faves.

    Question

Gimmie back my bullets, Gimmie 3 steps, or deadman walking ring any bells?

Actually deadman walking doesn't, but the rest do.

Still like Freebird best though. (Yeah I know it's become a cliche, but the instrumental bit that lasts 5-6 minutes is SO cool)

That's the song DJs play so they can go outside and take a cigarette break. That, or Stairway to Heaven.

Gimme Three Steps is another fave. Especially the live version.

I had a boss who absolutely worshiped that song ("It's based on something that happened to him in real life!" he'd always say) to the point that he played it so often I can't stand it anymore. Other than that, I like most Skynard.
